"Do you know when the next train to London Euston will be please?!"
I'm constantly going back and fourth between London and Birmingham, you'd think I would know best and invest in a little suitcase on wheels but no, I'm struggling - as per - with a couple of big H&M bags of outfit choices, every day essentials and my ipad.
Needless to say, it didn't end there.. The information desk failed to tell me if the train would be departing from platform 6a or 6b so I ran through the doors on to an empty-ish train with the bun that once sat neatly on top of my head, sliding down the side of my ear and flushed pinky cheeks with the realisation that there was no way London Midland would be this good to its customers (believe me)
Never the less, I watched my train drive away from my empty train on platform 6a and thought obviously I need a cup of tea and magazine in my life.
There, In WHSmith, with heavy bags wedged in to my wrists..
"It is a magazine that makes people smile, full of quiet moments and stories. Read it with a cup of tea or a toddy.
It inspires people to be creative, talk to their neighbours and explore new things. There are adventures that capture the feeling of being free, stories from people with tales to tell, recipes to warm your heart, and crafty things to make. All these things, wrapped up in beautiful words, illustration and photography."
Described perfectly, I love how it is a magazine that knows no boundaries within subject matter and embraces freedom in every sense of the word.. With only 6 published magazines a year, these beauties are cherished like books to me! If that isn't enough though, their blog is pretty special too.
Here are a few shots from their blog that caught my eye.. When you make the effort to get closer to 'something' emotionally or physically you will realise that there is something much deeper and worthwhile if you actually take the time to see it. You can take these images in any way you like, do you see decor inspiration, a story? art? I love how you could probably see all of the above!
Enjoy the magazines, enjoy the blog, let me know what you think!
